Kevin Naruse

Director Of Communications

Kevin started as a volunteer at Painted Brain and later was hired for the position of social media manager – a Los Angeles-based nonprofit providing arts and tech-based psycho-rehabilitation, housing assistance, workforce development, and mental health advocacy services in LA County-wide locations.

Over a period of 4 years Kevin grew the social media following on Painted Brain‘s Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and  Pinterest accounts by over 5,500% to 99,000 combined total followers, and started a company blog in 2017, now averaging 700,000 monthly views and over 30 regular blog contributors.

Starting in 2019 Kevin began supporting business development and donor cultivation through social media outreach and expanding the scope of social media marketing and management training services geared to other behavioral agencies, other nonprofits, and nonprofit startups.

A multi-cultural adventurer drawn to social justice causes who attended a 3-week meditation retreat in India traveled across over 20 U.S. states and wrote a blog about it. In his free time, Kevin is an advocate for Net Neutrality, a fan of Sun Tzu’s book “The Art of War“, a gym junkie, and “expresso junkie“, daily meditator, and kickboxing enthusiast. His passion is realizing the potential of technology to bring people together, mobilize collective action, and create real change in the world.
