Social Media Internship

HOURS PER WEEK: 5-10, plus at least 1 day per week in office  

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an open-minded, self-motivated, passionate individual who has a knack for social media and a love of social impact. Painted Brain is a multi-faceted mental health organization creating community-based solutions to mental health challenges and the effects of social injustice through arts, advocacy,  and social enterprise.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student  in business marketing, digital marketing, communications, or journalism.
• Copywriting experience and proficiency in Mailchimp.
• Experience tracking and reporting analytics desired.
• Strong understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Strong photography and videography skills desired
• Fascination with digital media, digital advocacy, and marketing.
• Proficiency in Google Docs.
• Strong interest in mental health activism, the arts, and or social enterprise.
• Self-motivated and collaborative spirit, with excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, schedule, and post content on multiple social media platforms.
• Provide support in the production and distribution of social media and email communications.
• Manage social media communities.
• Develop promotional campaigns with Media Team.
• Research trending topics, keywords, and build hashtag strategy.
• Monitor news outlets and social media for relevant and topical news pertinent to Painted Brain’s work internally and externally.
